STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN*
With the message „Stop Violence against Women*“, a clear statement of solidarity and resistance is being made in light of the rising gender-based violence in Germany. Verena Mack uses the public platform of the Poolboard to shed light on issues that are often ignored: hatred and violence against women* are not individual problems but societal ones that demand urgent and decisive action. The term women* emphasizes that gender is socially constructed and explicitly includes non-cis-male individuals.
With the re-election of Donald Trump, who was found liable for sexual abuse and defamation in a civil trial, right-wing and conservative forces could also be strengthened in Germany. This makes it all the more urgent to actively combat misogyny and violence.
